Last night, the Australian Government allocated $165 million to support a minimum network of regional and domestic air services.
Effective as of today, Virgin Australia is reinstating 64 weekly return flights for an eight-week period. Qantas has also added 59 flights to their existing domestic services. They are now servicing all capital cities and 36 regional destinations.
The latest win in freight transport, these flights will aid in the essential movement of time-critical domestic air cargo. This is in addition to already operating freighter services.
